Tested on game version 1.9.6, it's a straightforward quality-of-life tweak for players who find the default marker too large.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Simple and effective – shrinks that chunky marker down to something less obtrusive
- Three sizes to choose from, so you can dial in exactly how small you want it
- Source file included – tinkerers can tweak the design further if they want
⚠️ Cons
- Only affects the map marker – no other UI changes, so it's a one-trick pony
- Last updated in April 2023 – might not play nice with newer game versions beyond 1.9.6
For 7 Days to Die players who find the default map marker too big and want a cleaner minimap. It's a pure cosmetic tweak – skip if you're looking for gameplay changes or UI overhauls.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's a texture replacement, you'll need to drop the files into your game's Data/Config folder – check the game's modding guides if you're unsure.
- Try the 15 px version first – it's a good middle ground between visibility and subtlety.
- If you're on a dedicated server, make sure the mod is installed on the server side too, or other players won't see the change.
