📋 About This Mod

I HAVE (RETIRED?) FROM KCD1 MODDING. PLEASE CHECK THE COMMENT SECTION FOR UPDATED INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS.

-------------------------------------

Easy To See Herbs II - for KCD2

- Works on 1. 9 -

1. 0

- Isolated all PICKABLE herbs' FLOWERS and made them brighter

- Changed to new mod format

1. 1BETA

- Retextures Herb Paris

- Makes Mint leaf decals a bit less bright and a bit more tan

- Makes Mint bottom ball less bright

- Makes Mint middle ball brighter

1. 01BETA

- Mitigates vegetation brightness problem (doesn't solve it, but it looks ok)

- Adds saturation to compensate for drastically lowering brightness in Photoshop

It's still not ideal. I still haven't found the perfect save parameters, but it passes Todd Howard QC (it works).

To do:

- Tweak texture so that grass doesn't change compared to base game (I've given up on this. Screw it.)

------------------------------

First of all it took me AGES to find the herb texture files! Damn you, Warhorse!!!

OK... I feel so much better now.

This mod retextures herbs that look like they're EFFING CAMOUFLAGED. No longer will you have to stumble upon these. Now you can actually look for them (jawdrop), like you do with nettles, dandelions, etc.

So far I've retextured the following:

- Belladonna (that b!tch): made it look less like a dead plant. Increased the flower brightness by a million percent, which caused it to look pink. I liked it :P

- Mint: Increased the brightness of the lowest "cotton ball" flower in the middle of the plant, and gave the leaves a "minty" decal. Now it looks cute. I want it in my life.

- Herb Paris: Added yellow "stripes" to upper leaves.

*subtle changes, based on actual photos (realism police, leave me alone. I've committed no crime). It's not like I made them yellow with zebra stripes. That'd be cool though.

I couldn't think of any other notoriously camouflaged herb. I did not touch dandelion, nettle, thistle, sage, marigold, etc. (did in version 1. 0 - made them brighter, if they had flowers). Those are easy on the eyes.

If you can think of a herb that's too shy, let me know in the comments and I'll make that fool show its colors.

BUGS

The modded texture makes vegetation look brighter, so I lowered brightness and changed some color levels to make my textures look similar to the game's original textures. I've given up on trying to solve this, so screw it. It looks great now, and you can find every pickable herb in the game MUCH easier than before.
