KCD Quest Reset Tool

1. Im russian speaking fellow and my english might be not good enough, so i apologize in advance for possible misunderstandings.

2. This is my first LUA experience ever, so like we say in mother-russia "the first pancake is lumpy".

3. This mod inspired by this Mrozak`s mod and used it as example, so if you have it or any other mod that uses modified \Scripts\Entities\actor\player.lua, you need to disable it while using this mod.

4. To prevent breaking the game (quest lines and sequences) mod checks if quest is started and activated before reseting it from very begining.

Installiation:

Unpack to %GAMEDIR%. You`ll have AesmaQuestReset in your Mods folder containing:

--- Data\scripts.pak

--- KCD_QuestReset.exe

--- mod.manifest

Uninstalliation:

Simply delete Mods\AesmaQuestReset folder.

1. Run the game.

2. Load your save file.

3. Don`t pause game or go to inventory. Stay in game.

4. Alt-Tab to KCD_QuestReset.exe and run it.

5. You need to know quest name you going to reset. Sorry, i didnt manage to go throw all quests and activities to create proper understandable list. Will do later.

6. Select quest (starts with "q_") or activity (starts with "a_") you need to reset.

7. Click Reset Quest button.

8. Wait til process is finished. It could take up to 10 secs (mod has timer with 10 secs period in which he checks for incoming command) .

9. When you see "Done" you can:

--- Reset another quest or activity.

--- Close tool, make a new save, exit game and disable mod.

--- Close tool and keep playing.
