Mine shafts are limited access at different points in the game. Some routes that are open during DLC Quests are closed off during main quests.
Fun facts:
There are 253 'Interesting Sites' in KCD, 115 of them, or about 45%, have loot.
The largest concentration of loot is Vranik Forest, containing 22 locations.
The majority of the ones located near water will either have Savior Schnapps, Moonshine, or both (if marked as having loot).
The majority of no-loot sites are pagan worship sites.
You are 3x more likely to encounter Cumans in the forest surrounding Pribyslavitz than you are in the forests of Talmberg or Vranik.
There is no 'safest' route for completing the 'Pilgrim' achievement.
The minimum number of shrine and conciliation crosses (if you admire the 37 murals) to complete the 'Pilgrim' Achievement is 53.
Vranik Fortress can be entered from the west before the story directs you there, but there is nothing of interest inside (might help to learn the layout in advance).
The Skalitz / Rovna region contains the most treasure chests, 8 and one Warhorse chest.
Talmberg Forest has the most random Battle locations, at 5.
Pribyslavitz Forest has the most random Ambush locations, at 7.
The safest region is the Sasau / Monastery Region, with 3 Ambushes, 2 Battles, and 5 bandit camps.
Pick 100 Nettles to get a free permanent +2 boost to Vitality, which helps a great deal this early on.
Yew bows also have the longest draw time, so in damage-per-second terms, an Elm longbow is superior, especially if you're using poison.
Sell stolen items to a miller, then a few days later, lockpick his inventory chest and steal all the Groschen he made in profits selling your goods.
~ wh_pl_showfirecursor 1 will show the reticle for the bow. You still need to use the target at an archery range to learn to compensate for drop.
A high-resolution PNG map of Kingdom Come: Deliverance's world, packed with markers for unmarked locations, treasure chests, ambush sites, and more. Not an in-game mod—just an image file to extract and view. Ideal for explorers and completionists who want a comprehensive reference while playing.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community favorite with 681 endorsements and over 21k downloads—clearly useful to many players.
- Packed with details: unmarked camps, ambush spots, treasure chests, and even secret mineshafts.
- Regularly updated (last in May 2022) with new markers and improvements, showing active maintenance.
⚠️ Cons
- Not an in-game mod—you have to alt-tab or use a second screen to check the map, which breaks immersion.
- The map is a static image, so it won't update with your in-game discoveries or progress.
For Kingdom Come: Deliverance completionists and explorers who want a comprehensive reference map without missing any secrets. Also great for players hunting the 'Pilgrim' achievement or tracking down every treasure chest. Skip if you prefer in-game map mods or don't care about finding every unmarked location.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Keep the map open on a second monitor or your phone while playing—it's a reference tool, not a mod.
- Use the roman numerals on treasure chest markers to match them with the in-game Treasure Maps you find.
- Check the Skalitz Mine maps before doing the 'All that Glisters' quest to know the entrances and secret shaft locations.
