Selective Smart Color Correction (with simple GI bounce) (SSCC)

Please read :

• []Installation ; important as the LUT is unique and the shader for fake GI bounce is rare to see in reshade, so get them here.

  If you don't already have reshade installed :

  • []Download reshade from reshade.me

    []Launch and install for KCD2 (select directx 10+)

    []Go to the folder reshade created in the installation. (Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance2\Bin\Win64MasterMasterSteamPGO)

    []Follow steps bellow

  if you already have reshade (safest method) :
  • []Download this reshade preset.

    []Dump it's contents into where you have the "reshade-shaders" folder and KingdomCome.exe (Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance2\Bin\Win64MasterMasterSteamPGO)

    []Replace if asked just in case.

    Don't forget to check the screenshot of how to reshade should look like (effects being used).

    • Recommended but personnal settings ;

    r_sunshafts=0 /// disables the volumetric lighting, makes the sky clearer.

    r_HDRBloom=0 /// disables the bloom.

    r_DeferredShading3PL = 0 /// disables character lighting, makes scenes more realistic (removes constant bluish lighting on characters)

    add these to user.cfg where kingdomcome.exe is and add : -exec user.cfg to steam launch commands for KCD.

    Custom LUT and adaptive shaders are used in this preset, it respects the excellent color balance of KCD2. Mainly :

    - Selective blue sky and white clouds

    - Fake GI bounce

    - Subtle filmgrain for sharpness and texture

    - Brighter lighting

    - Sublte DOF for distant LOD

    - Colors slightly balanced but remain similar.

    There is no over saturation, or over sharpening, it is actually natural and realistic looking, although the fake GI is approximate and hard to control, it remains solid.

    There is a performance impact, around 5-6 fps in my experience.
