LOD Pop in Fix for Grass and Shadows and Buildings (Obsolete)

The official 1. 4 update on 2025-09-09 fixes the underlying issue that necessitated this mod, so it now probably does nothing or lowers performance with no visual improvement. But feel free to use as you wish.

This is a custom.cfg file with a single line:

e_LodFaceAreaTargetSize=0

The "Mod manager download" option will automatically place this file where it needs to be. If you prefer to place it manually, you can download the file and place it in the game's root folder (such as "C:\Program Files\Epic Games\KingdomComeDeliverance2\"). If you already use a custom.cfg file without this value set, you can add this line to it. If you already use a custom.cfg file with this value set to something else, you can change it to be set to 0 yourself. Or you can just create your own file and add this line to it.

I personally don't notice any performance change, but my system is not yours.

It doesn't fix everything either, but I did see a major improvement.
