If you're not wearing any plate armour, it will be 50% easier for you to dodge strikes in combat.

Perk gets disabled whenever any kind of jewelry is worn, only the Spectacles can be worn and still have the Light Armor Perk active. (Thanks for reporting @Bententenen)

If you wear any Plate armour piece, the perk won't activate and you won't get any bonus.

You can still wear any other type of armour (Gambeson, chainmail, lamellar, brigandine etc...) and get the bonus.

There are a few exceptions: You can wear Cuman Vambraces and Riveted vambraces. But you cannot wear: Heavy lamellar armour

The icon of this perk is misleading, as no Helmets of any sort may be worn for this perk to take effect, only hats.

Even though this perk is called light armour, it allows you to wear Brigandine armour, which is heavier than plate.

Because this perk boosts the ability to dodge so much, it can be a useful tool for leveling up your Agility.

You can even do practice, and simply dodge as much as possible to do so.

Picking to fight with maces assures that it will be easier to dodge, since maces are the slowest weapons to attack in the game.
