Kenshi Lands - Reshade Preset

I quite enjoyed the preset made by Wugonorama, 'Kenshi 2 Style' & 'Desertpunk' by ThomasTheSowellTrain. But I wished for it to be more assertive and limit the cartoon aspect, while adding some more dynamic, crisp features to make Kenshi look even better. What has resulted is a very borderlands feel that looks crisp and runs fairly well (~ 30 FPS in Mongrel Area).

This preset most notably adds Depth of Field & Ambient Occlusion

I have not had the chance to test this preset in areas outside of the Hub & Mongrel. Please let me know if you run into any issues with performance or graphical glitches. Please share screenshots! Kenshi is truly a massive, beautiful world and the hope of this preset is to showcase that.

To Install:

Download Archive, Extract to Kenshi main directory (where kenshi_x64.exe is located)

Active SSAO, place at bottom of load order in your mod manager

Launch Game

Home opens ReShade Menu, Insert toggles reshade

Your ReShade Effect Load order should look like this

If you do not like the Depth of Field affect you can disable it by unchecking ADOF

The depth of field works well but is very much a WIP. It will blur UI elements like Character names, dialogue, if camera is close.

In the future I plan to expand the UI mask system to apply to Inventory & map UI.
