GTA 6 PC Release Date & Modding Expectations

GTA 6 launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026. A PC version has not been officially announced, but Rockstar's release history makes the timing predictable.

Rockstar's PC release pattern

• GTA V — consoles September 2013, PC April 2015 (~18 months later).
• Red Dead Redemption 2 — consoles October 2018, PC November 2019 (~13 months later).

If GTA 6 follows the same pattern, expect the PC version in late 2027 to early 2028.

Why PC matters for mods

Almost all GTA modding happens on PC — script hooks, file unpacking, and .asi plugins are PC-only. Consoles have no mod support. So the GTA 6 mod scene effectively starts when the PC build ships.

What to do meanwhile
