You're peeking a corner, leaned around it. Nothing there — so you break into a sprint to reposition… and you're still leaned. So you tap Q again. And again. Every single time. If you run toggle-lean, you know exactly how annoying that little dance is.

In Escape from Tarkov, sprinting cancels your lean automatically — you just run. Incursion: Red River doesn't… until now.

Untilt does it for you: the moment you sprint, your lean snaps back to center. Stop sprinting and you can lean again freely. No keybinds, no config, no thinking about it — you just stop babysitting your lean.

What it does

  []While sprinting, lean stays disabled (no leaning mid-sprint, just like the real thing); slow down and it's instantly back.[/]

  Known limitation — please read

  Untilt straightens your lean stance, but it can't fix your movement speed. If you sprint-lean and then stop to walk, your character stands up straight (Untilt working) but still moves at the slow "leaning-walk" speed. That's because the game drives that speed through an internal aim/lean state (a GameplayTag) that mods can't clear from Lua — the same wall that blocks sprint-cancel and free-look mods. Untilt resets the visible stance, which is what it's built for; the speed is a game-side limitation this mod can't reach. So your posture snaps back, but walking speed stays reduced until you toggle lean off yourself.

  Install

  • []Make sure UE4SS is installed (this game needs the experimental UE5. 6 build — see the setup notes).[/]

    ⚙️ Requirements — UE4SS (UE5. 6 build)

    (Only if you didn't install UE4SS)

    This mod needs UE4SS. Since Incursion: Red River runs on Unreal Engine 5. 6, the stable UE4SS release won't load — you need the experimental build. (Big thanks to GU5T4V0X for this setup):

    1. Download UE4SS v3. 0. 1 (base) → copy all files into ...\Test_C\Binaries\Win64

    2. Download the experimental build (this is the one with UE5. 6 support):

    (Don't rely on a direct download URL here — the experimental filename changes with every update, so any fixed link eventually 404s. Always grab the current UE4SS_v3. 0. 1-*.zip from the Assets list.)

    3. Create a file override.txt in ...\Win64 containing one line: ./ue4ss

    4. Open ...\Win64\ue4ss\UE4SS-settings.ini and set:

    MajorVersion = 5

    MinorVersion = 6

    ConsoleEnabled = 0

    GuiConsoleEnabled = 0

    GuiConsoleVisible = 0

    5. Drop the Untilt folder into ...\Win64\ue4ss\Mods

    ✅ Check it worked: after launching, a UE4SS.log file appears inside ...\Win64\ue4ss\ (not the Win64 root).

    ❌ No log file = UE4SS isn't loading — almost always means you're still on the stable build; make sure you did step 2 (the experimental build).

    Safety

    Client-side & local only — no anti-cheat. It only reads your own movement and calls the game's own lean-reset function on your character. It never touches items, saves, hooks, or other players — completely fine in co-op. Tweakable at the top of Scripts\main.lua (sprint speed threshold, reset duration).
