Crafting Cost Reduction

This mod reduces crafting input costs while leaving crafting outputs unchanged.

Multiple versions are available so players can choose the balance that best fits their playstyle.

Available versions:

- 75% Crafting Cost (light reduction, close to vanilla)

- 50% Crafting Cost (balanced, recommended)

- 25% Crafting Cost (very fast progression)

- No Crafting Cost (0%) – creative / testing use

Only ONE version should be used at a time.

What this mod does:

- Reduces crafting input material requirements

- Leaves crafting outputs unchanged

- Applies globally to all crafting recipes

What this mod does NOT do:

- Does not change crafting outputs

- Does not add or remove items

- Does not affect talents, perks, or XP

Compatibility:

- Compatible with most mods

- All players in co-op should have the mod installed to ensure consistent behavior

Installation (Recommended – Icarus Mod Manager):

1. Download ONE version of the mod

2. Open Icarus Mod Manager (IMM)

3. Add or import the mod

4. Enable the mod

5. Start the game (new prospect recommended)

Manual Installation:

1. Download ONE version of the mod

2. Place the .pak file in:

Icarus\Content/Paks/mods

4. Start the game

- In testing, existing prospects worked correctly

- If any issues occur, starting a new prospect is recommended

At lower crafting cost percentages, some recipes with very low base inputs (such as milk, water, or biofuel) may display a required amount of 0. This is due to how Icarus handles rounding when crafting costs are reduced. Avoiding this would require special-case handling per recipe and could introduce inconsistencies, so the mod applies the reduction logic consistently across all recipes.
