Crafting Cost And Speed Reduction

This mod combines Crafting Cost Reduction and Crafting Speed Reduction into a single file, avoiding conflicts caused by Icarus data table overrides.

It reduces both the materials required to craft items and the time it takes to craft them, while keeping all vanilla recipes intact.

This combined version is intended for players who want both effects at the same time without dealing with mod load order or compatibility issues.

What this mod does:

- Reduces crafting material costs

- Reduces crafting time

- Affects character crafting and crafting stations

- Preserves all vanilla recipes

- Offers multiple balanced options

What this mod does NOT do:

- Does not add or remove recipes

- Does not change output quantities

- Does not affect talents or tech points

- Does not modify engine or blueprint logic

Available Versions:

The percentage shown represents the remaining crafting speed and material cost.

- 75% – Crafting takes 75% of the original time and requires 75% of the original materials

- 50% – Crafting takes 50% of the original time and requires 50% of the original materials

- 25% – Crafting takes 25% of the original time and requires 25% of the original materials

- Instant (Extreme) – Near-instant crafting with zero material cost

The Instant (Extreme) version removes most crafting restrictions and is not recommended for balanced play.

Installation (Recommended – Icarus Mod Manager):

1. Download ONE version of the mod

2. Import or enable it in Icarus Mod Manager (IMM)

3. Launch the game

- Only one version should be used at a time

- Extreme versions are optional and not recommended for balanced play

At lower crafting cost percentages, some recipes with very low base inputs (such as milk, water, or biofuel) may display a required amount of 0. This is due to how Icarus handles rounding when crafting costs are reduced. Avoiding this would require special-case handling per recipe and could introduce inconsistencies, so the mod applies the reduction logic consistently across all recipes.
