Recoded Movies (1.95 gb instead of 10.44 gb)

This mod is created for saving disk space, primarily for those who play on small SSDs or HDDs, steam deck or other portable consoles. In general, where every gigabyte is important. My goal is to compress video files so that they are as small as possible while still maintaining the original quality. Without changing the video resolution or frames per second.

Re-encoded campaign cutscenes, tutorials, portraits, seasons transitions, credits.

In some videos the visual flaws is slightly noticeable. If you prefer max quality, then refuse to download this mod. I made this for myself and decided to share it with those who are not satisfied with a huge bloated files.

According to my tests, after deleting the following files:

The game runs without any issues or errors. They are located in: example C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Hogwarts Legacy/Phoenix/Content/Paks

You can delete or backup them and free up 25 gigabytes.

If after this you observe any errors, then revert from the backup or verify integrity of the game files through steam or epic games and download them again.

After the deletion pakchunk optional files and applying my compressed videos mod, instead of 73 gigabytes, my game folder now takes up 39,3 gigabytes (for the option 1 version) or 42 gigabytes (for the option 2 version).

Installation:

Backup Movies folder in Phoenix/Content/Movies, in case you decide to revert back.

Option 1

For the english, german, french, italian, latin american spanish, castilian spanish, brazilian portuguese and japanese audio language:

Unzip Option 1. Recoded Movies (Multi8).zip to the root game folder, with overwrite.

Option 2

For the russian gamesvoice audio language:

Unzip Option 2. Recoded Movies (GamesVoice RUS Version).zip to the root game folder, with overwrite.
