Open All Locks (UE4SS)

This mod has been replaced by a newer and more robust (blueprint) version called Open All Locks.

Unless you're a big fan of UE4SS mods it is recommended that you install the blueprint version instead.

This UE4SS version will remain on Nexus though, and I will continue to support it.

Introduction

There are already two mods (that I know of) to open all locks:

• []Autohomora: This is an LUA script mod which requires UE4SS to work. Some users have reported issues with Autohomora, and that over time it causes the game to slow to a crawl. If you're using Autohomora without any problems then stick with it - this mod offers nothing extra. But if Autohomora is causing you problems try Open All Locks (UE4SS) instead, because it uses a different game function to achieve the same thing.

  []Alohomora Unlocked: This is an SQL mod which alters the PhoenixShipData.sqlite database file inside the game. It doesn't require a modloader (i.e. UE4SS or Blueprint Apparate Modloader) but it does require you to merge it (using Hogwarts Mod Merger) with any other mods that alter the SQL database file. Alohomora Unlocked doesn't skip the Alohomora mini-game but it does allow you to unlock Level I, II and III locks without collecting any demiguise moons. However, it has been reported that if you use this mod Gladwin Moon doesn't give you any rewards when you present him with demiguises.

The Open All Locks (UE4SS) mod will open padlocks of any Level (I, II or III) on anything (doors, chests, and cages) regardless of how many demiguise moons you've collected. It's like having Sirius Black's magical lock-picking penknife in your pocket! 😁 It will also skip the Alohomora mini-game, and should allow you to still claim your rewards when presenting demiguises to Gladwin Moon.

HOWEVER, don't use it on anything that might form part of a future quest. Two notable examples are:

• []The door to the Faculty Tower.

  []The enormous cage in the Forbidden Forest bandit camp that's full of mooncalves.

Leave those alone or you'll break the quests. There is a mod to fix those quests (here) but I'd advise against needing it.

Installation

STEP 1) Install UE4SS.

STEP 2a) Either install the mod automatically via the "Vortex" or "Mod Manager Download" buttons, or

STEP 2b) Do a manual download of the ZIP file then extract the OpenAllLocks folder inside it to:

Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64\Mods\

Usage

Just install the mod. That's it.
