This mod is a engine tweak for Unreal Engine 5. I've spent several hours trying to perfect it. Ive managed to remove all the grain i could possibly remove, All of the rubbish blur, Chromatic aberration, flickering nonsense unreal engine 5 has, ive mostly removed. The game actually looks like Halo!!! Whilst doing this ive also managed to gain FPS and remove most stutters i have encountered. In turn, I have also removed any mouse acceleration or smoothing for your convenience for the least amount of input delay possible.

PLEASE READ:

There are two versions of my tweak, One which is a lossless version. This retains all default lighting and graphical fidelity whilst removing as much blur/grain/input delayt/chromatic abberation etc. As possible. Unreal engines 5 default lighting does cause some grain, but looks the best. This does give a very minor FPS boost also.

The other version is a aimed mainly at Boosting FPS and increasing visibility, This version totally manages to remove any and all grain you would typically find in a Unreal Engine 5 game, but does compromise with the shaders quite a bit. They are more sharp and typical shaders, as Raytracing gets disabled. Expect some areas to change lighting totally and be a bit funky at times. But most areas look fine. I went from around 45-60FPS to 100-110FPS in some missions.

IN GAME SETTINGS!!

Most in-game settings are a personal preference but i have found for that extra FPS, setting upscaling on TSR and Native, works the best for good visual fidelity and no blur. Once you have set that, scroll up  to resolution scale and set it to around 80% this lifted my FPS dramatically and kept all the visuals perfect. But feel free to tweak the res scale to your preference.

Installation instructions

Please take a look at the main and optional files i have provided. One keeps Lumen (Software Raytracing) off forcibly for the most FPS gain and visual clarity, Does muck with some locations lighting. The other has all my tweaks but restored original lighting and shadows, Please choose one that suits you!

For Steam version:

• []Launch the game at least once, then close out of it completely.[/]

  []Press Win + R on your keyboard, paste this path, and hit Enter:  %localappdata%\Meteorite\Saved\Config\Windows[/]

  []Copy the Engine.ini file into that folder.[/]

  []Right-click the Engine.ini file → Properties → tick the Read-only box → Apply → OK.[/]

  For Xbox App / Game Pass version:

  • []Launch the game at least once, then close out of it completely. [/]

    []Press Win + R on your keyboard, paste this path, and hit Enter:  %localappdata%\Meteorite\Saved\Config\WinGDK[/]

    []Copy the Engine.ini file into that folder. [/]
