ItemLocator highlights the loot you actually care about in the chaos of a Half Sword fight. Every dropped weapon, piece of armor, treasure, and prop gets a soft, colour-coded glow painted directly onto the item - so when the dust settles you can instantly see what's worth grabbing, whether it's lying in a pitch-black cellar or scattered across a cluttered arena floor.

The glow sits on the item's own mesh - no floating icons, no markers, no guesswork - and it's smart about what it shows. Only settled, dropped items light up; anything still in someone's hand, holstered, or flying through the air stays dark. It also stays out of your way: the highlight switches off the moment you open a menu, your inventory, or the trader, and comes back the instant you're fighting again.

Toggle it with one key, tune the colours and brightness to taste, and never lose a good sword in the mud again.

Installation instructions

ItemLocator loads through UE4SS, the standard Half Sword mod loader. If you already run the Trainer Mod or any pak mod, you already have it.

1. Get UE4SS if you don't have it - the easiest route is the Half Sword Mod Installer (one click; it sets up UE4SS + LogicMods). Or install UE4SS manually from the UE4SS releases page into …\HalfSwordUE5\Binaries\Win64\.

2. Extract this mod's zip into your HalfSwordUE5 folder (the one containing Binaries and Content). It places:

  []Content\Paks\LogicMods\M_ItemGlow.pak - the glow material[/]

3. Open …\ue4ss\Mods\mods.txt and make sure both lines are set to 1:

  []BPModLoaderMod is what loads the .pak - without it, nothing glows.[/]

4. Launch the game and press F7 in a fight.

To uninstall, delete the ItemLocator folder and M_ItemGlow.pak.

Requirements

• []Half Sword - built and tested against the current Unreal Engine 5. 4 builds (the Steam Demo/Playtest).[/]

  []UE4SS - the mod loader (see Installation). The bundled pak is loaded by UE4SS's BPModLoaderMod, which must be enabled.[/]

Nothing else. It plays nicely alongside the Half Sword Trainer Mod - ItemLocator's keys (F7/F8) deliberately avoid the trainer's F1–F6.
