Bountiful Fishing (Compatible with ModImporter and final game v1.38290)

Description

Bountiful Fishing makes fishing less frustrating and more rewarding in Hades. Fishing spots appear reliably where a room can support them, the catch timing is more forgiving, and fish give better rewards.

This is an SGG Mod Importer-friendly version of the original scripts-format Bountiful Fishing mod. Instead of replacing whole base game script files, it patches the relevant fishing data at runtime through the Mod Importer, making it easier to install and easier to combine with other mods.

Installation instructions

• []Install SGG Mod Importer for Hades if you have not already.[/]

  []Extract the archive into your Hades Content\Mods folder, so the folder structure is Content\Mods\BountifulFishing.[/]

  []Run SGG Mod Importer from the Hades Content folder.[/]

  []Launch or restart Hades.[/]

If you previously installed the older manual script-replacement version, restore the original game scripts first by verifying the game files in Steam or by otherwise replacing the edited scripts with clean vanilla copies. Then install this version through SGG Mod Importer.

Main features

There are two main parts:

• []Fishing data changes: catch and perfect-catch timing windows are longer, there is only one fake dunk, and fish rewards are more generous.[/]

  []Room data changes: fishing spots have a 100% spawn chance where possible, including Chaos and Greece/Surface rooms, and the consecutive-room cooldown is removed.[/]

  Additional details:

  • []Keeps vanilla fish rarity pools by default, so common fish are still caught by waiting slightly longer instead of always taking a perfect catch.[/]

    []Includes an optional config switch for compatibility with @xwill's Perfect Automatic Fish Catch mod.[/]

    []Uses SGG Mod Importer instead of replacing base game script files.[/]

    Requirements

      []Fishing must be unlocked in the save file. This mod improves fishing once the Fishing Rod is available, but it does not unlock the rod by itself.[/]

      []ModUtil is optional. This mod can register with ModUtil when it is present, but it does not require ModUtil to run.[/]

      Compatibility note: this version should be easier to combine with other mods than the old manual replacement version, but another mod that edits fishing timing, fish rewards, fish rarity pools, or fishing spot rates may still override or be overridden depending on load order.
