This technology radically improved the treatment of life-threatening illnesses and injuries, and it was her expertise that caught Overwatch's attention. Having lost her parents in the war, Ziegler opposed the organization's militaristic approach to maintaining world peace. She eventually realized that Overwatch offered her the opportunity to save lives on a much larger scale. As Overwatch's head of medical research, Ziegler sought to use her work to provide medical assistance during major crises. The result was the Valkyrie rapid response suit, which Ziegler herself has worn on numerous Overwatch missions.
