Anya Stroud was a Tyran military officer in the COG Army and politician who served as the inaugural First Minister of the reestablished COG from 18 A. E. until her death in 27 A. E. Daughter of Major Helena Stroud, Anya joined the COG Army in 4 B. E., during the Pendulum Wars. Unlike her mother, she did not serve as a frontline Gear until 14 A. E., during the Locust War. Before her combat role, she served as a communications officer. During her tour in the Pendulum Wars, she met fellow Gear and future husband, Marcus Fenix. In 2 B. E., Stroud took part in the Battle of Aspho Fields, during which she witnessed the death of her mother. Anya continued to serve as a controller in the CIC during the Locust War. She was in participation of the Hammer of Dawn Strikes, in which Chairman Richard Prescott scorched 90% of Sera's surface outside the Jacinto Plateau to stop the Locust in 1 A. E.
