Guided Script For LSPDFR And Scripthook Installation On Linux Or Steam Deck (GTA V Enhanced)

Thank you to OPGMan for the Legacy walkthrough.

Now includes an ASI to activate RagePluginHook with the F5 key in game and supports Scripthook. After installation, no terminal commands or separate scripts are needed anymore. The game will freeze for a brief moment when loading RPH, this is normal.

Script is designed for CachyOS/Arch, but will probably work on other distros too.

Once everything is set up, you're free to install just about every mod that I know of. A few niche mods using scripthookvdotnet won't work, but those mods are very uncommon and I'm honestly not sure if they even work on the enhanced edition yet.

A few options from my GTA IV modding guide if you want to modify game files or run injectors:

You could go into Protontricks -> Select the default wineprefix -> Run arbitrary executable for exe's that need to communicate with the game directly (e.g. injectors). Or you could just use Bottles and run the exe from there if it's just for file editing (e.g. RPF editors, OIV installers, etc). If you have the flatpak version of Protontricks or Bottles, you may need to install Flatseal to modify the files they have access to, as the flatpak sandbox may restrict you from running the exe you want to run depending on where you placed it.
