WHAT IS SALE?

An overhaul mod which mainly expands the law enforcement aspect of GTA V by adding tons of new assets to increase variety, overhaul the AI for more engaging gameplay as well as tons of other changes. It does this without the use of any scripts which was one of our main goals, to squeeze as much out of the game as possible while still making the mod very user friendly to install. Read below for a quick rundown of the mod and then if you want to know more, I will expand on some parts further down below.

Developer note: The rules to keep the mod lore friendly

- Only use vanilla assets to design our NPCs and cars. All the updates to the peds and car models were taken from existing assets including those from GTA Online. The only exception is three community cars we use, but those are also made up from vanilla assets and there was no vanilla game equivalent that could fit the role.

- We can only introduce new departments which already were mentioned in some shape or form in vanilla. Furthermore we don't allow making up new slogans or new subdivision names and their emblems/logos must be based of stuff already made by Rockstar.

Expanded departments

- The existing departments in the game have been overhauled with updated NPC models and expanded vehicle fleets. The Los Santos County Sheriff for example in vanilla has a Stanier and a Granger, that's it. In SALE, they get their own motorcycles, Interceptors, Fugitives, Bisons, Enforcers, Mavericks and a small array of naval vehicles. This goes for each of the 4 main departments in the mod, which are the Los Santos Police Department, Los Santos County Sheriff's Department, Blaine County Sheriff's Office and the San Andreas Highway Patrol.

- New departments have also been added, which were previously only present in a lesser or almost obscure capacity. This includes the Los Santos Port Authority, Los Santos International Airport Police Department, Paleto Bay Police Department, Marshals, Military Police and the National Coast Guard. Other departments which have been expanded upon are the FIB and NOOSE, which now are major players in the wanted system.

- Other than that, medical services and fire departments also have seen some changes, with each county now having their own entity and the state itself also having their own variants.

Expanded unit roster

- Units range from patrol officers, to responders (think of LAPD Metro Division), to SWAT. Then all three categories also have  their federal counterparts for high wanted levels.

- Each of the 4 main departments have their own motorcycle unit, detectives, air unit and tactical team.

- Each of the 4 main departments has their own water units besides SAHP. For LSPD, this role is taken over by the Port Authority.

- Snipers will appear on rooftops at max wanted level all over the map.

- K9 dogs are present at various government buildings, subway stations and other high profile locations. At max wanted level they may also be deployed against players hiding out inside interiors or trying to flee into the sewers/tunnels.

- Heavily armored 'lite' juggernaut type NOOSE units can appear at max wanted level.

- Fighter jets can appear at max wanted level after a while, they are most common when you are airborne.

- Helicopters now have proper pilot NPCs instead of being regular officers.

- Roadblocks can now have different type of props associated with it, not just traffic cones. Expect to see sawhorses and at high wanted levels, concrete barriers in an attempt to slow you down or block of streets.

- New weapon loadouts for all factions. Expect gangs to be able to use various melee weapons, shotguns, assault rifles and whatnot. Needless to say, cops also have a heavily expanded arsenal, ranging from the stun gun to the usual pistol, shotgun, SMG, assault rifle and sniper rifles. Almost every weapon in the game, including Online ones are used somewhere in the game now.

AI improvements

- They will now show drastic behavior differences over vanilla and the way they act also depends on what role they fulfil. Patrol officers will be a lot more cautious, gangs will be a lot more reckless while tactical units will be much more aggressive now. Expect them to use teargas to a greater effect, looking for more opportunities to flank you and make better use of cover.

- Pursuit AI also has been massively boost
