DESCRIPTION

Welcome to Jewellery & Pawn Shops by Scottyus1, a complete jewellery looting, pawnshop trading and dirty-money laundering system for Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition.

Liberty City is full of opportunities to make money, and not all of them are legitimate. Instead of simply collecting cash from fallen enemies, you can now loot valuable jewellery and mobile phones, sell your stolen goods to a pawnbroker and have your dirty money cleaned through a laundromat.

Pedestrians throughout Liberty City can drop valuable items when they die. Search their bodies to discover gold rings, golden chains, golden bracelets, rare diamond rings and four different brands of mobile phones. Every item has its own value, and everything you collect is added to your personal inventory.

Take your valuables to the Pawn Shop, where a dedicated pawnbroker buys your jewellery and phones at fixed prices. Unlike ordinary GTA IV money, the proceeds from these transactions become dirty money.

When you've accumulated enough dirty cash, visit the Laundromat, a business offering a rather unconventional cleaning service. Hand over your money, pay the laundering fee and wait for your cash to become legitimate.

However, laundering money in Liberty City isn't entirely without risk. There's a chance that the authorities will discover the operation, confiscate your deposit and force the laundromat to close temporarily.

The laundromat is also protected by ten armed guards, making it a considerably more dangerous place to cause trouble than your average neighbourhood laundry.

For players using Hideout Cash Storage by Scottyus1, the two mods also work together. Store your dirty money and valuables at any of Liberty City's five safehouses, then retrieve them whenever you need them.

And remember: if Niko dies or gets arrested, any valuables he's carrying are lost. Anything you've safely deposited at your hideouts remains protected.
