📋 About This Mod

Every action counts for more towards a mutation. A mutation that wants 200 insect kills wants 20 of them at x10. Set it from 1 to 100 in the FLATTS MODS options tab or with `mutationmult 20`. Works when you are hosting, solo included.

What it does

Mutations unlock by doing a thing over and over. Some of them want a lot of it - hundreds of kills, hundreds of blocks, hundreds of hits with one weapon type - and if the mutation you want is tied to something you do not naturally do much of, that is a long time doing it on purpose.

This makes every action count for more. At x10, a mutation asking for 200 insect kills is satisfied by 20. At x100 it is satisfied by 2.

It ships at x10, so it works the moment you install it. Nothing to set up.

Setting it

The easy way is the FLATTS MODS tab in the game's own Options menu - the slider is there and a change applies straight away.

From the console, if you prefer:

mutationmult 20      every action counts for 20

mutationmult 1       off - the game's own rate

mutationmult         show the setting, and how many stat changes have been seen

Anything from 1 to 100. The setting is saved, so it survives a restart.

What to expect

  • []A change applies from the moment you make it, never backwards. Turning it up does not re-price progress you already earned, and turning it down to anything from 2 to 100 does not take any away.[/]

[]Setting it to 1 is different, and it is the one thing worth knowing before you do it. x1 means the mod stops touching mutation progress at all - so the next time that stat changes, the game writes its own real total and the head start you had built up is gone. If you want to stop earning extra but keep what you have, set it to 2 rather than 1.[/]

[]The first action on each mutation is not multiplied, and nor is the first one after you change the multiplier. That action establishes the baseline: the game hands the mod a running total and never the size of the step, so the first one cannot be measured. Everything after it is. If you set x100 and one kill does not visibly jump, that is why - the second one will.[/]

[]It affects mutation progress only. Your real stat counters keep their true values, so nothing else in the game that reads them is inflated.[/]

Nothing is written to your save

The mod does not edit your save file and does not replace any game files. It adjusts what the mutation system is told while it is running, and your real stat counters keep their true values throughout.

Uninstalling gives you the real numbers back. Because the head start only exists while the mod is running, removing it means the next change to a stat writes the game's own total - so mutation progress returns to what you actually earned. Nothing is corrupted and nothing needs repairing; it is simply the unmodded game again. Worth knowing before you uninstall mid-playthrough.

    Multiplayer - host only

This works when you are hosting, and solo counts as hosting. As a guest in somebody else's world it does nothing.

Mutation progress is recorded by the server, so the values this mod adjusts on your machine are not the ones the host's game writes down. There is no way around that from a client-side mod.

It tells you rather than leaving you guessing: join someone else's world with this installed and it says so once at startup, in `mutation_multiplier.log`. Your setting is saved either way and works the moment you host again.

    Settings

Open Options and look for the FLATTS MODS tab. This mod's setting is there, alongside every other Flatts mod you have installed that has any, and a change takes effect straight away - no relaunch and no console.

The tab is part of this download. There is nothing else to install for it. If you have several Flatts mods they share the one tab, and it shows a section per mod you actually have.

    Install

    Requires UE4SS_Grounded2.

    • []Copy the MutationMultiplier folder into Grounded2/Augusta/Binaries/Win64/ue4ss/Mods/ (Game Pass: Binaries/WinGRTS)[/]

[]You should end up with ...ue4ss/Mods/MutationMultiplier/Scripts/main.lua[/]

[]Copy the InGameSettings folder in beside it - that is the FLATTS MODS settings tab, and every Flatts mod ships a copy, so overwrite if asked[/]

[]You do NOT need to edit mods.txt - the included enabled.txt is enough[/]

      To uninstall, delete th
