Flatts's Pickled Foods

What it does

Grounded 2 already changes what meat you get based on the damage that killed the creature: spicy gives you cooked meat, salty gives dried. Sour damage does nothing.

This adds pickling. Kill something with a Sour damage weapon and its meat drops pickled. The Katanga Sour is the easy way to do it, and sour bombs and arrows work too.

That is the trade: worse than cooking, better than drying, and it keeps forever.

If you run other food mods

Mods that add a new food process have to borrow one of the game's own process tags, because a tag the game does not declare is ignored and the whole feature does nothing. There are only three usable ones, and two of them are mine.

This mod uses ItemProcessing. Smoothie. It is stated here so another mod author can see the clash before either of our users does. If a food mod of mine and a food mod of someone else's both go quiet, this is the first thing to check.

Two mods on one tag do not crash. They just quietly stop working properly, which is the harder failure to notice.

Install

Copy the three files into Grounded2/Augusta/Content/Paks/

Requires Flatts Mod Core (listed under Requirements), which needs UE4SS. Part of this mod is applied while the game runs; without the core that part silently does nothing. To uninstall, delete them.

These mods are built to coexist. Each one owns its own container and its own tables, so you can install as many of mine as you like, in any order. A pak from another author that edits the same thing can still clash.

Built for game version 0. 5. 0. 4. After a game update a pak mod can quietly stop working, so check here for an update before reporting a bug.
