Description

This mod aims at providing a less grindy experience for casual players, including:

  []Frontloading skill points[/]

  []Faster devotion progression[/]

  []Easy Elite/Ultimate mode unlock[/]

  []Tweaked XP curve for faster progression at high levels[/]

  A Max version is also available with all the same changes as the regular mod plus:

    []Higher devotion points limit (136 points)[/]

    []Full character inventory unlock right from the start[/]

    This mod is fully compatible with version 1. 3 of the game and all DLC: Ashes of Malmouth, Forgotten Gods and Fangs of Asterkarn. Please update to version 1. 3 for compatibility with Grim Dawn patch 1. 3. 0. 6.

    Installation instructions

    Extract the content of the archive into the mods\ subdirectory of your Grim Dawn installation folder.

    In Steam, you can right click the game, select Properties, then Installed Files and click Browse

    On the main screen, click on the "Main campaign" button

    Select "Custom Game", then "Grindless" or "GrindlessMax", and click "Accept"

    You need to use a new or previously modded character (by default, you cannot take your "vanilla" characters into a modded game).

    You might encounter a minor bug in the game where your newly created character isn't listed. Switch back to the main campaign then to a custom game to refresh the list of characters.

      Loot drop will impact all game modes: Normal, Veteran, Elite, Ultimate, Ascendant and Shattered Realm.

      Challenge dungeons have been left intact. Callagadra is also probably not worth it.[/]

      []Quicker faction progression

      Every quest (main, side and bounties) rewarding faction progression will now reward 3x the amount (including negative points). If this is still too slow, you can buy a warrant from every faction vendor as soon as you reach friendly.[/]

      []Early inventory unlock

      All main quests from act I (killing the reanimator, Warden Krieg and securing Burrwitch) will now also reward you with an inventory tab (up to the usual 5 you can unlock in the base game).

      In Max version, all 5 bags are granted after first talking with Captain Bourbon.[/]

    • []Frontloading skill points

      The base version of the mod will not increase the number of skill points you can get, but boost early levelling by giving you 5 points instead of 3 until level 11 then 4 points until level 22. You won't get skill points from levelling from the last few levels.

      In Max version, double all skill points to a total of 500.[/]

      []Faster devotion progression

      The base version of the mod will not increase the maximum amount of devotion points, but every devotion shrine cleansed will now reward you 2 points

      In Max version, the new limit is 136 points.[/]

      []Easy Elite/Ultimate mode unlock

      All faction vendors sell a Champion's merit and Saviour's merit at friendly to unlock higher difficulty.[/]

      []The timer in Shattered Realm is more forgiving[/]

      []The XP curve has been slightly tweaked to reduce the amount of experience required at high levels. In total this is a ~25% reduction. The idea being to reach level 100 over the course of a playthrough (base game + DLC) without having to grind.[/]
