Grim ReShade

My ReShade settings to make Grim Dawn actually look GRIM.

The new 1. 1 version is made for Grim Dawn 1. 3.x (x64), with Fangs of Asterkarn patch!

1. 1 is visuallly slightly differentto the 1. 0 version:

- removed the film grain (most people don't like it anyways).

- decreased the desaturation a bit and pushed some colors like blue up again (which is of course used in snow environment)

What this ReShade setup does:

- adds a subtle screen-space ambient occlusion shader

- reduces blurriness and fog

- decreases the vanilla over-saturation and vibrance

- moves colors towards a sepia toned LUT

- adds subtle sharpen

- adds subtle film grain (only 1. 0 version)

This setup uses the REST addon to prevent that the GUI of Grim Dawn is visually altered by ReShade.

Installation:

• []Important: download ReShade with full add-on support from https://reshade.me.

  This mod will not work with the standard ReShade version! As of May 2026 it is 'ReShade_Setup_6. 7. 3_Addon.exe'[/]

  []Extract the contents of the "Grim Reshade" folder of this mod into your x64 folder of Grim Dawn: '... Steam\steamapps\common\Grim Dawn\x64'. It's four files "ReShadePreset.ini", "ReshadeEffectShaderToggler.ini", "ReShade.ini" and "GrimReShade.ini"[/]

  []Run the ReShade_Setup_6. 7. 3_Addon.exe [/]

  []Read and confirm the popup message.[/]

  []In the list select the Grim Dawn.exe located in the x64 Folder: '... Steam\steamapps\common\Grim Dawn\x64\Grim Dawn.exe'. Next.[/]

  []Select Direct X 10/11/12. Next.[/]

  []Check if GrimReShade.ini is pre-selected at bottom. It should be '... Steam\steamapps\common\Grim Dawn\x64\GrimReShade.ini'.

  If it is not pre-selected use 'Browse...' to select the GrimReShade.ini located within the x64 folder of Grim Dawn.

  Next.[/]

  []Important: In the shown list check the checkbox of 'ReshadeEffectShaderToggler (REST) by 4lex4nder'. This will install the REST addon. Next.[/]

  []Finish.[/]

  []Start Grim Dawn (the x64 version) and enjoy.[/]

  Press POS1 to show/hide the ReShade window, press END to toggle ReShade on/off.
