Exiled Breach

Description:

Rip and Tear at least twice as much!

Increased the spawn / amount of Champion mobs by 2x and normals by min 2x to max 4x. To create the feel of Path of Exile 2's Breach mechanic from Level 1.

Installation instructions:

Just put the files into your game folder into the mods folder.

It is .../steamapps/common/Grim Dawn/mods/

You can get there by right clicking your game in Steam, hovering over "Manage" and clicking "Browse Local Files"

To enable the mod you need to click the button NEXT to the Start button in the main menu on the right,

Select Custom Game -> Mod Name (Exiled_Breach_Mod) -> Accept and just start / play the normally from there.

Main features:

Min 2x to max 4x describes these values:

championMaxEquation,poolValue 2,

championMinEquation,poolValue 2,

spawnMaxEquation,poolValue 4,

spawnMinEquation,poolValue 2,

in proxypoolequation_01.dbr  Fighting more then 2 champs is not fair at the start of the game and in the late game and having the same amount of enemies every time is also not interesting when farming, also 100% of the time 4x enemies is too much for the start, and 2x too little for the mid game.

I am happy to make more versions, although making one yourself is easier then you think, even for me on Linux where I had to use Protontricks to use AssetManager.exe and make the mod.

You can make the mod yourself and even tweak the rate to your liking like this:

• []Set up: Click Work Offline -> Tools -> Options, point to Working/Build/Tools directories at your Grim Dawn folder.

  (Should be set as the correct path already upon clicking Work Offline.)

  One landmine: the install path must not contain a dot (.) character or the tool crashes.[/]

  []Extract the base data: Tools -> Extract Game Data.

  (Ensure that you select the game folder or the tools tells you that it cannot the files to extract.)

  This rips all the game's records and templates out to /database and assets to /resources so the editor has the vanilla record to work from.[/]

  []Create the mod: Mod -> New, name it something like Exiled_Breach_2 (The name cannot have spaces). That makes a folder under Grim Dawn/mods/.[/]

  []Edit the record for this case here: get proxypoolequation_01.dbr into your mod's database/records/proxies/ folder and change the four values via right click -> edit.

  (This step does not work on Linux, since the edit function would open another .exe file that proton tricks cannot see and it fails silently, but the file is already there in your file browser so just go there manually and modify it any text editor. You can just build normally after that)[/]

  []Build: with your mod selected Build -> Build. (Or simply F7) That packs your one record into mods/Exiled_Breach_2/database/Exiled_Breach_2.arz.[/]

The GDModdingTool by azakhi for making pool edits feasable, that made it possible for me remove the limits of hero spawns.
