Auto Sort Backpack

Auto Sort Backpack is a Quality-of-Life mod for Green Hell that keeps your inventory clean and organized without manual micro-management. It uses the game's internal logic to sort items by size and type, ensuring optimal space usage every time you open your bag.

Additionally, the mod increases the default player carry weight from 50kg to 75kg, giving you more freedom to explore without constant encumbrance. (Optional)

• []Automatic Sorting: Instantly organizes your backpack contents whenever you open the backpack or switch tabs.

  []Smart Stacking: Automatically groups compatible items to save space.

  []Increased Capacity (Optional): Raises the maximum carry weight to 75kg (Base game: 50kg).

  []Insert Sorting (Optional): Can be configured to re-sort the inventory immediately when you insert new items.

  Configuration

  A config file is generated on first load in Green Hell\BepInEx\config\AutoSortBackpack.cfg

  • []MaxWeight (Mod default: 75. 0): Sets the maximum carry weight limit.

    []SortOnOpen (Mod default: True): Automatically sorts the backpack when opening the inventory or switching tabs.

    []SortOnInsert (Mod default: False): Automatically sorts the backpack whenever an item is added (e.g., picking up from the ground).

    Requirements

    • []BepInEx 5.x (Standard modding framework for Unity games).

      Installation

      1. Ensure you have BepInEx installed for Green Hell, or follow this short summary:

      • []Go to the BepInEx page, download the latest Windows x64 release, for example BepInEx_win_x64_5. 4. 23. 4.zip

        []Extract this zip file to your game directory

        []Start the game once to let it create directories/config

        []You should now have a Green Hell\BepInEx\plugins\ directory

      2. Download the Auto Sort Backpack mod

      3. Extract the .zip file into your game directory

      4. AutoSortBackpack.dll should end up in Green Hell\BepInEx\plugins\

      5. Launch the game.
