Vanilla Quest Journal

Vanilla Quest Journal adds a native-style quest journal to Graveyard Keeper's existing game menu.

It organizes active and completed tasks by character, shows where and when quest characters can be found, and provides optional navigation — without replacing the game's quest system or modifying save files.

Main features

Native interface

The journal appears as a regular tab in the game menu and follows Graveyard Keeper's visual style. It does not use a separate HUD or full-screen overlay.

Tasks organized by character

Every task remains separately selectable while being grouped under the character who gave it.

Three collapsible sections

• []Favorites — tasks you want to keep close at hand.[/]

  []All tasks — every currently active task, grouped by character.[/]

  []Completed tasks — finished tasks read directly from the game state.[/]

See the character's name and portrait, full task objective, current availability, usual location, appearance schedule, day icon, and base-game or DLC origin.

Favorites

Mark active tasks as favorites for quick access. Their order is preserved, and they are stored in the mod configuration independently from game saves.

Character navigation

Enable navigation for a task to receive an on-screen direction marker. The mod points directly to a reachable character or guides you through the appropriate entrances and transitions when the character is in another location.

Automatic route updates

Navigation refreshes after dialogue, scene transitions, teleports, and meaningful player movement.

Completed-task history

Review tasks already marked as completed by the game.

Quick access

Press F6 while playing to open the journal tab.

Full localization

The interface and character-location descriptions support every language available in Graveyard Keeper and automatically follow the language selected in the game.

Installation

• []Install BepInEx 5 if it is not already installed.[/]

  []Download the main Vanilla Quest Journal file from the Files tab.[/]

  []Extract the downloaded archive.[/]

  []Copy the included VanillaQuestJournal folder into:

  Graveyard Keeper/BepInEx/plugins/[/]

  []Start the game. The new Quests tab will appear in the regular game menu.[/]
