A lightweight, purely code-drawn analog speedometer mod for GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. It adds a sleek circular dashboard dial with a smooth rotating needle, calibrated speed ticks, and a digital numeric readout at the bottom-right corner.

Features

100% Code-Drawn: Completely rendered using game primitives (DrawRect & native fonts). Zero texture dependencies, no Unreal .pak modding required.

Dynamic Needle: Smooth color transition from Cyan (low speed) to Red (high speed) based on current velocity.

Jitter-Free Interpolation: Built-in first-order exponential smoothing for the needle sweep, while keeping the digital readout responsive and real-time.

Accurately Calibrated: The speed formula is verified against ground horizontal displacement in-game (range 0 - 260 km/h).

Clean UI Placement: Rendered at the bottom-right screen, styled with a semi-transparent face that fits seamlessly into the game HUD. Automatically appears when inside any vehicle and hides on exit.

Requirements

CLEO Redux (Ensure CLEO Redux is properly installed and active for your Definitive Edition game).

Installation Instructions

1. Make sure CLEO Redux is installed.

2. Download and extract this mod archive.

3. Drop Realistic_Speedometer_Dial.js into your game's CLEO directory (e.g., <GameRoot>/Gameface/Binaries/Win64/CLEO/).

4. Launch the game and enter a vehicle!

Customization

You can open Realistic_Speedometer_Dial.js with any text editor (Notepad, VS Code) to tweak parameters inside CFG:

cx, cy: Change position on screen.

R: Adjust dial size/radius.

vMax: Adjust the maximum speedometer reading (default 260).

smooth: Change needle smoothness factor (default 0. 25).

* kSpeed: Calibrated speed multiplier (default 3. 9583).

Uninstallation

Simply remove Realistic_Speedometer_Dial.js from your CLEO directory.
