An overhaul of the built-in Lua editor for From The Depths. What is this? From The Depths' Lua editor is clunky and outdated. Vanilla still utilizes the old-fashioned windowing system and is near-unusable. This mod aims to improve that. Also, talk (or complain) to me on Discord! Or buy me a coffee. Features This mod does the following to your Lua environment: add a new GUI, including a faster, syntax-highlighted and configurable code editor with tab-support and a refurbished refman. expand the existing API through access to breadboard variables, and generic block setters and getters (see manual). overload I:LogToHud for drawing lines and shapes in-world, useful for debugging your 3D code. Because this extended API forms a superset of vanilla, all vanilla scripts work as normal. Code written using this mod will work only on vanilla when you do not use any extensions. With this mod installed, a global variable `_ALE` will be a string containing the mod's version (else nil), similar to the Lua builtin `_VERSION`. In the manual, all non-vanilla additions are marked clearly by an asterisk and a tooltip. Prefer C#? Try trk20's new FtDSharp! Install Like any mod, subscribe to this item in the Steam Workshop and enable it under Main Menu > Content > Mods > Download > AtsuLuaEditor > Save. To compile from source, see here.
