TD5M3 Zarafah

The TD5M3 Zarafah has had a long development time struggling with a increasingly obsolete role. Originally envisioned as a ATGM carrier for the mountain troops; the system failed to meet requirements and the program was temporarily halted. The project however were constantly revisited. A number of iterations were designed before eventually deciding the platform would be used by specialized AT units restricted to areas with rolling hill and moderately rough terrain. It's performance with the boom have been mixed but the missiles were extremely potent. It carries four such ATGMs with four more reloads. Manned by a crew of three in a fairly cramped layout. Only the driver has its own cupola and periscopes. The commander's only option for seeing out is through the commander's independent sight or by opening the hatch above him. The gunner sitting next to the commander sees through the optical systems onboard the ATGM turret. The vehicle is also capable of a impressive 90 kmh top speed allowing it to quickly respond to any major armored thrust, hide behind terrain and fire off a barrage of ATGMs capable of penetrating even the heaviest of armor. The missiles are laser guided allowing for specific targets to be focused on. In addition, it is impossible to jam or decoy away. The army decided to procure a small amount of these vehicles as part of its trial run. It is believed that these vehicles will enable long range combat in rolling hills or bumpy terrain that readily blocks line of sight. Current mountain combat units are equipped with short ranged systems and is unsuited for this purpose. Alternatively, artillery can provide similar indirect fire. However, the Zarafah provides substantially more firepower and unlike the existing GMLRS, it cannot be jammed or decoyed while still providing remarkable hit rates.
