Real Wheel Feel - FFB Surface and Tire Load Rework

FH6 can feel a little too light and numb on a wheel, especially when you are trying to feel the front tires, brake from feedback, or tell when the car is starting to push wide.

This mod should work with any wheel FH6 supports, but the strength and feel will vary depending on your wheelbase, in-game FFB settings, and wheel app settings.

This mod reworks the surface-based force feedback values in NatalSurfaceTypes.xml so the wheel gives more useful information through the road and tires. The goal is not to make the cars faster or easier. The goal is to make the wheel feel more alive, more weighted, and more believable.

It is built for wheel users who want more tire load, better braking feel, clearer understeer/scrub warning, and more realistic surface differences without relying on fake center spring.

Main version vs Plus version:

The main download is the cleaner FFB / wheel-feel version. It focuses on steering weight, tire-load feel, braking stress, scrub, and surface feedback without changing grip or surface behavior.

The Plus version goes further. It keeps the FFB/wheel-feel changes, but also adjusts surface behavior for a more realistic simulation-style feel. This can affect off-road grip, wet surface feel, drag/slowdown, rumble harshness, and how dirt, gravel, grass, and sand react.

Use the main version if you only want wheel feel / FFB changes.

Use Real Wheel Feel Plus FFB and Surface Physics if you want the deeper realism version that changes how surfaces behave too.

Plus v3 update note:

Real Wheel Feel Plus has been updated to v3. 0 with a final realism-focused refinement of the v2 setup.

V3 focuses on:

-Clearer front tire/load communication

-Better low-speed asphalt and concrete detail

-Reduced high-speed tarmac buzz

-Smoother dirt, gravel, grass, and sand feedback

-More progressive loose-surface slip feel

-Calmer rumble strips, cobblestone, shoulders, and rough surfaces

-The same four Plus presets, further refined for a cleaner and more natural driving feel

All four Plus presets are still included.

New installation method in v3:

Content/mediapc/Physics/NatalSurfaceTypes.xml

My older Real Wheel Feel files use the older Content/media method because they were created before the mediapc override method was figured out. V3 uses mediapc, which allows the modded physics file to override the original without replacing the file inside Content/media.

Just copy the included Content folder into your main Forza Horizon 6 folder. The correct folder structure is already included.
