X8 upscaled general textures

Best used together with high poly characters and 8K textures

This is an X8 upscale experiment of the textures using an ai upscaler for anime purpose. (X4 present too)

It turned out good so i decided to publish it. Anime upscaler preserve less fine detail etc... in favor of sharp line details, but to be honest, this original in game textures don't have much detail anyways.

It also turned out way more high quality than all other upscales i found for 99% of the textures.

Some in my opinion minor issue is the posterization effect, but i can not spot it in game (probably due to ingame texture filtering) so for me it is fine if i get the sharp logos and other stuff ingame.

What you will find:

- NPC textures

(NO main playable figures)

- monsters and bestias

up to 8k textures (bestias as they are huge), as some ingame are already 2k to begin with and 16k+ is nonsense anyways.

But you should swap the bestias with real retextures too, just as the main characters.

according to his instructions than put my archve in:

Steam\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY FFX&FFX-2 HD Remaster\UnX_Res\inject\

and unzip it there.

After you should have a:

Steam\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY FFX&FFX-2 HD Remaster\UnX_Res\inject\textures

with inside there "my" textures.

Someone wrote that he experiences a crash in the Yojimbo area...

If you do too, unload the mod for that part. I have no clue what it is. All textures are BC3 compressed... all the same ways.

Eventually i will try to recompress them all to see if a texture gives an error.. but i did not see any the first time.

You really should still install "real" 4k-8k main character textures, they are far superior to upscales and this mod has no main figures ore enviromental textures included.
