AIM - Alternative Installer for Mistria

AIM is an independently maintained, open-source mod installer for Fields of Mistria. It is a fork of MOMI, developed under a separate name with an enhanced user interface and additional compatibility and safety features.

AIM is not intended to replace MOMI. If MOMI eventually provides the features and fixes maintained by AIM, this project may become unnecessary.

Installation

• []Download the ZIP archive for your operating system.[/]

  []Extract the archive to any folder of your choice.[/]

  []Start the executable for your system:[/]

Windows: AIM.exe

Linux / SteamOS: AIM-linux

macOS: AIM-osxAIM will try to detect the game installation and a nearby mods folder automatically. You can also select or change both folders manually from Settings.

Adding and Installing Mods

• []Place extracted mod folders or ZIP/RAR/7z archives in your selected mods folder.[/]

  []AIM will detect available mods automatically.[/]

  []Select the mods you want to keep active and press Install.[/]

  []Review any compatibility or conflict warnings before continuing.[/]

  []Use Uninstall All when replacing or testing a different mod set if you want a clean rebuild.[/]

Language mods: Language mods often modify shared localization files. AIM warns when selected mods share files. Usually install only one language mod at a time unless you have verified that the selected language mods are compatible.

Nexus Integration

• []AIM can handle Mod Manager Download links from Nexus Mods.[/]

  []Downloaded mods are unpacked automatically into the selected mods folder.[/]

  []AIM can check individual mods, selected mods, or the complete mod list for updates.[/]

  []Updated mods keep a backup of the previous version and can be restored when necessary.[/]

  []Nexus update features may require a personal Nexus API key configured in the AIM settings.[/]

Note: The public Nexus application/OAuth registration is currently awaiting approval. Until then, Nexus update features may require a personal Nexus API key configured in AIM settings.
