Cats and Dogs Combat

Cats and Dogs Combat improves the Pets DLC experience in Farthest Frontier Mono. Dogs can defend the territory around their Doghouse, while cats and dogs receive configurable combat support.

Main features

• Territorial dog guards: dogs engage nearby raiders and threats around their Doghouse instead of roaming across the entire map.

• Stronger pet combat: configurable damage, life, armour, retreat, and assist behaviour for dogs; optional cat retaliation.

• Raider threats: raiders, raider camps, and raider towers can be treated as threats while Guard Mode is enabled.

• Optional world spawners: the in-game control panel can request raider camps, wolf dens, and boar dens. Use these when a map has been cleared and you want fresh combat or loot opportunities. Each den type has a cooldown.

• Performance-conscious defaults in version 2. 8. 1 keep patrol and search ranges local to help avoid excessive map-wide pet movement.

Requirements

• Farthest Frontier Mono version.

• Pets DLC is required for the dog and cat features.

Optional companion mod

Pets and Wool Additions for Add Item adds cards for creating dogs and cats in their original buildings. It is not included here and is only needed if you want those Add Item cards:

Installation

1. Start Farthest Frontier in Mono mode.

2. Copy CatsDogsMod.dll into ...\Steam\steamapps\common\Farthest Frontier\Farthest Frontier (Mono)\Mods\

3. Start or load a settlement.

4. Optional: install Pets and Wool Additions for Add Item to create pets from Add Item.

Configuration

The mod creates UserData\CatsDogsMod\config.json. You can adjust combat multipliers, territory radius, spawner counts, cooldowns, and other advanced settings there.
