Description
Massive thanks to TheKite for giving me permission to do this. This is a port of the popular and outstanding Fallout 4 mod DC ScoopDigger, based on their comic Fallout Unsheltered. Make sure to give your kudo's to them for producing this amazing piece of clothing.
Replaces the Trench Runner's Coat. You can purchase the plan to craft it from Giuseppe's Curios for 50 stamps. A version that replaces Piper's Trench Coat is also available for those of you that bought that starter pack way back when.

This mod ports TheKite's DC ScoopDigger outfit from Fallout 4 to Fallout 76, replacing the Trench Runner's Coat. It includes an optional Piper's Trench Coat replacer and Bodyslide files for customization. With 13 endorsements and 283 downloads, it's a niche but functional cosmetic addition for players wanting a classic FO4 look.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Brings a beloved FO4 outfit into FO76, giving you that classic detective vibe.
- Bodyslide support means you can tailor the fit to your character's build.
- Optional Piper replacer adds extra variety if you want that FO4 companion look.
⚠️ Cons
- Only 13 endorsements—this is a niche mod, so don't expect widespread testing or support.
- Replaces an existing outfit, so you lose the original Trench Runner's Coat look unless you revert.
- As a port, there's always a risk of clipping or texture issues in FO76's engine—check the comments before installing.
This is for FO76 players who miss the iconic DC ScoopDigger from Fallout 4 and want to wear it in Appalachia. It's also for fashion-focused players who enjoy customizing their outfits with Bodyslide. If you're not a fan of the Trench Runner's Coat or want a fresh look, this is a solid choice.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have the Trench Runner's Coat unlocked in-game, as this mod replaces that specific outfit.
- If you use Bodyslide, build the files with your preferred body preset to avoid clipping.
- Since it's a port, test it in third-person view to check for any visual glitches before committing.
