📋 About This Mod
!!!!!! READ THE BLOODY DESCRIPTION !!!!!!
I DON'T KNOW ENGLISH WELL. SORRY FOR THAT.
There are smarter people than I in the Nexus universe. If you think I've done something wrong, please let me know what it is and how to correct it.
My RIG:
AMD Ryzen 5 3600X 6-core processor, RTX 3070 8GB, 32GB DDR4 RAM, M. 2 SSD, 32-inch 2560x1440 monitor.
I play FO4 at 2560x1440 on ULTRA: no ENB, maybe with CLIKRAD Reshade - STALKER vibes.
I have the AE version of the game for now, because AE is behaving very strangely. I'll probably switch back to OG.
ZP's Keys:
1K textures for the Key Card, Keys, Shem Drowne's Key, Vault-Tec ID Card, and The Nuclear Launch Key. The mod also removes obvious hints from the keys, which makes them more visible to the player - see pictures.
I came up with this while testing textures for the mod ZP's Trucks.
March 23, 2026 OPTIONAL UPLOAD - ZPs More Visible Keys - 3 types of more visible keys plus additional textures from the original mod - see pictures. If you have the original mod and want this instead, uninstall it.
If you notice any anomalies, please report them. I'll fix it ASAP.
Compatibility:
Use common sense, incompatible with textures that do the same thing. The mod also reworks some textures in the Far Harbor DLC.
Installation:
Install with your favorite mod manager.
You can install and uninstall the mod at any time.

ZP's Keys is a compact visual mod for 7 Days to Die that replaces the textures of keys and ID cards with more detailed, hardcore-looking versions. With 81 endorsements and 13,158 downloads, it's a niche cosmetic enhancement for players who want a grittier aesthetic for these small items.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Decent download count (13,158) shows some interest in this niche cosmetic tweak
- Simple texture swap – no gameplay changes, just visual flair
- Lightweight mod that won't impact performance
⚠️ Cons
- Low endorsement count (81) compared to downloads – might not be as polished as other texture mods
- Only affects keys and ID cards – very limited scope, so if you want broader visual overhauls, this isn't it
- Potential texture conflicts with other mods that alter the same items – check load order
For 7 Days to Die players who want a grittier, more detailed look for keys and ID cards without changing gameplay. If you're into immersion and small visual details, this is a nice touch. Skip if you're looking for major visual overhauls or gameplay changes – this is purely cosmetic.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since this is a texture mod, make sure to place it in your Mods folder and enable EAC off if you're playing multiplayer – some servers require it.
- If you use other texture mods, load order matters – put ZP's Keys after other mods that affect the same items to ensure it takes priority.
- Check the mod's file structure – if it uses a custom folder, you might need to extract it manually into your 7 Days to Die directory.
