📋 About This Mod
What's in the mod?- Adds Necron warriors into the game, replacing Gen 1 and Gen 2 institute synths.
- Adds the Necron Guass Flayer rifle and Lychblade into the game.
F. A. Q.
- Where can I get the weapons and armour?
- You can loot the weapons from dead Necrons and alter them at the weapon bench. The armour is non-lootable, but can be acquired via the console or .esp explorer, and is equipable on humans.
- I'm still seeing Synths in my game! Or random synth heads!
- Sorry about that. This mod only effects base game synths, not DLC, and it may be that some of the entries slipped by me in creation kit, there's a lot of synths in this game! Equally if you have any other mods that effects the synth race or levelled lists I can't promise that they'll be compatible.
- Shouldn't the teleport effects be green?
- I tried, I really did, but for the life of me I couldnt get them to change colour to my satisfaction!
- It's all too bright and glowy!
- I like the glow.
- The lore RascalArt, what about the lore!?
- I'm well aware that the appearance of Necrons does not fit with the Institute or make sense in terms of the story. But then none of my mods are lore friendly and if you're playing a 40K style game i'm sure you can create your own head canon as to their presence.
This mod replaces Gen 1 and Gen 2 Synths in Fallout 4 with Necron warriors from Warhammer 40K, giving the Institute's forces a menacing robotic overhaul. It's a niche cosmetic mod with 281 endorsements and over 12k downloads, last updated in November 2021.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solid community backing (281 endorsements) and over 12k downloads show it's a proven pick.
- Gives the Institute a fresh, thematic look that fits the grimdark vibe of 40K.
- Simple concept—just swaps synth models—so it's easy to understand what you're getting.
⚠️ Cons
- Only affects Gen 1 and Gen 2 synths; Gen 3 synths and other enemies stay vanilla.
- Last updated in 2021, so it might not be fully compatible with the latest game patches or DLC.
- Potential conflicts with other mods that alter synth appearances or textures.
For Fallout 4 players who love Warhammer 40K and want to inject some Necron flavor into the Commonwealth. If you're tired of the same old synth designs and want a visual shake-up for the Institute's forces, this is for you. Skip it if you're looking for gameplay changes or if you prefer lore-friendly vanilla aesthetics.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure to load this mod after any other mods that change synth appearances to avoid conflicts.
- If you're using a mod manager, enable it and check the in-game preview to see the new Necron models before committing.
- Since it's a replacer, it works with most quests and encounters—no need to start a new game.
