📋 About This Mod
The Slog is portrayed as a safe haven for ghouls, but upon claiming the settlement, the chance of ghoul settlers responding to a recruitment beacon is quite low (under 10%). The Slog Spawns Ghoul Settlers changes this by ensuring that the settlement always spawns ghoul settlers, although you can move non-ghoul settlers to the Slog if desired.
Since the vanilla settler face pool contains only four ghouls, The Slog Spawns Ghoul Settlers (v3) includes a small face pool of its own consisting of 36 ghoul faces (including the four vanilla ghouls), evenly split between males and females. Essentially, this face pool reproduces the vanilla settler pool, but all of the faces are ghoulified.
Optional Files
If you're looking for even more ghoul face variety, I've created two patches to achieve this. One ties into the ghoul settler face pools from Diverse Settlers while the other calls on the ghoul settler face pools from Diverse Wasteland. Pick the patch suited to the Diverse mod you're using.
Compatibility
This mod should be compatible with anything that doesn't alter the Slog's workshop reference (0009B197).

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 336 endorsements and over 166k downloads—clearly a popular pick.
- Fits perfectly for lore nerds who want the Slog to feel like a true ghoul haven.
- Lightweight and focused—no bloat, just does exactly what it says.
⚠️ Cons
- Only affects the Slog—if you want ghoul settlers elsewhere, this won't help.
- Requires a recruitment beacon to trigger, so it won't change existing settlers.
For Fallout 4 players who role-play and want the Slog to feel authentically ghoul-run. Also great for settlement builders who want a bit more variety in their wasteland communities. Skip if you're looking for broader settler overhauls—this is a one-location tweak.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Place a recruitment beacon at the Slog and wait for new settlers to arrive—they'll be ghouls.
- If you're using a mod manager, just download and activate; no load order tweaks needed.
- This mod only affects new spawns, so existing human settlers will remain—consider dismissing them if you want a full ghoul population.
