How about helping Wiseman realise his dream of making the slog a prosperous place.
Let's imagine that some crazy engineer has invented a system to enrich the pool water with tarberries.
He collects the water, runs it through the pool, stores it, then runs it again and so on.
And this water is the best you can find even the brahmins rave about it and produce superior milk and meat.
