📋 About This Mod
This mod is horribly out of date I would suggest using AlxRam's new version found here. www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/22013/?
The Red Wave is a player owned boat that you can use to travel to a dozen different locations along
the coast and waterways of the Commonwealth. I made this as an alternative to the traditional fast
travel system with the emphasis on lore friendliness. Places like The Castle, Spectacle Island, and
Nordhagen beach are now reachable by boat making them more reasonable settlements for those who do
not use normal fast travel or are playing survival mode. The boat features player storage, a bed,
drinking water and a personal terminal to play holotapes. The Red Wave is free to use and starts at
the docks near The Shamrock Taphouse. The boat works as a great mobile home and means of travel for
people who want a realist way to fast travel.

The Red Wave has a dozen different moorings around the Commonwealth I tried to spread them out to make
them all useful and safe for players. Some of the landings are a little ways away from their given
locations this is to ensure player safety on arrival. The boat can travel the the following places:

- Bunker Hill
- Hangman's Alley
- Boston Airport
- The Castle

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 1,388 endorsements and 24,643 downloads.
- Offers a fresh, immersive way to travel instead of fast travel.
- Lore-friendly design fits well into the Fallout 4 world.
⚠️ Cons
- Only covers coastal and waterway locations, so inland travel still requires fast travel or walking.
- Last updated in 2016, so it may have compatibility issues with newer mods or game updates.
- Potential conflicts with mods that alter the Commonwealth's coastline or water areas.
For Fallout 4 players who want a more immersive travel experience and enjoy exploring the Commonwealth's waterways. If you're a roleplayer or someone tired of fast travel, this is a great addition. Skip if you prefer fast travel or don't care about lore-friendly alternatives.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure to check the boat's location after installing, as it may be docked near a specific settlement.
- Use the boat to discover new coastal locations you might have missed on foot.
- If you have mods that alter the Commonwealth's map, test the boat's travel routes for potential conflicts.
