📋 About This Mod

Requires all DLCs and version 3. 4. 8a or greater of Sim Settlements 2 and Institute Technology Overhaul Full - Version 2. CREDIT to Micalov - who made all of this outstanding new gear.

Listen, Institute Technology Overhaul Version 2 (ITOv2) is a great mod. The original one was good too, but Version 2 goes even harder. It adds tons and tons of new weapons that makes the original Institute Laser look like the beginning of a robust and diverse weapons platform. it also integrates use of these into the Institute faction, making them more tactically deep, while also giving the Railroad a small boost by adding Jury-Rigged versions of many of the weapons to Railroad Agents. Given how many pieces of gear there were, it made sense to tackle this both as an opportunity to add lots of new options to SS2's Virtual Supply System while also overhauling some of SS2's default units and adding some new ones. Even to help out the Railroad, a faction whose tactical bench is not deep.

Adds all of the new ITOv2 weapons, grenades, and ammo to the new virtual supply system. Most go where you would expect them to go. Institute fusion, plasma, and EM go to energy ammo, rockets and missiles to explosive ammo, and most of the guns and melee weapons to standard weapon parts. The heavy weapons like the heavy laser, plasma cannon, launcher, etc. go to heavy weapon parts. The same is true of their jury-rigged railroad counterparts. The Institute chems and meds are also added as Chem Cures, Stims, Enhancements, and Anti-Radiation for even more virtual supply options. Also, the following are added to more fully integrate ITOv2 into SS2.

[]Synths now use a diverse array of different ITOv2 weaponry that increases in firepower as they rank up. Before, their "tech tree" in their loadouts was limited to variants of the Institute Laser Rifle. Not anymore!

[]Coursers also get better armor at rank 5 based on the ITOv2 Heavy Courser Armor, and some minor weapon upgrades as well, but they start out with much better weapons that reflect their ITOv2 counterparts, too.

[]Synth Bulwark (New Unit!) - Power Armored Synth added as a Heavy Institute attack platform. They use an array of ITOv2 Heavy Weapons, including Heavy Institute Laser, Plasma Cannon, EM Minigun, etc.

[]Railroad Specialist (New Unit!) - Since ITO has Jury-rigged Railroad versions of most of its weapons, it only made sense to include those. Now, recruit the Railroad Specialist, a version of the Railroad agent that makes use of an escalating variety of different Jury-rigged weapons that only increase in lethality with each rank. So even if you don't want to ally with the Institute and want to go the Railroad route, this option is avail
