SAMFormer

WHAT IS THIS

SAMFormer is middleware for newly released Screen Archer Menu (SAM) and well known Advanced Animation Framework (AAF) mods.

It lets you tag AAF positions with SAM adjustments, to be loaded and applied to the actors in so tagged positions.

This means that you can modify AAF positions to your liking, or even create new animation variants, by using SAM.

SAMFormer will auto-apply your adjustments to the involved actors as your tagged positions play in AAF.

The most simple use case would be to tweak animations to perfectly fit your body type. But creating new animation variants is even more interesting!

I have included an example SAM adjustment that turns the male Atomic Jerking animations from Atomic Lust into kneeling variants. See screenshot.

You can also use SAMFormer to correct faults in existing animations, or to get rid of the well known "broken ankle syndrome" with HHS and some poses.

New SAMFormer NG 2. 0:

User LokkiSSAU wrote an updated version of SAMFormer that no longer depends on SUP F4SE. It should therefore work with the NG game version.

You can download it from OPTIONAL FILES.

Note that I didn't test this and don't provide support for this user supplied version of SAMFormer.

REQUIREMENTS

- Advanced Animation Framework in working order

- Screen Archer Menu in working order

Please install and configure all these hard requirements before use. SAMFormer will not work without them.

- Optionally: Atomic Lust, if you plan to use the included example adjustment.

INSTALLATION

- Backup your saves

- Install all requirements

- Dump archive contents into Data folder or install with your favorite mod manager

UNINSTALLATION

- Mod can be removed at any time

- Open console, type "stopquest SF_SAMFormerMainQuest" (without the quotes) and hit enter

- Save game and quit

- Remove the mod

HOW TO USE

SAMFormer is controlled by a special tag in your AAF positionData.xml or animationData.xml files:

SF:<Gender>=<Adjustment Name>:<Gender>=<Adjustment Name>:<Gender>=<Adjustment Name>:...

You can specify as many <Gender>=<Adjustment Name> pairs as the position has actors, and they will be matched & applied in the order they are listed.

<Gender> can be M for male actors, F for female actors, N for actors with no (none) gender or A for any gender.

<Adjustment Name> is the name of a SAM adjustment in your SAF\Adjustments folder, without the .json extension.
