Pip-Girl - Limited Edition Pip-Boy

The Pip-Boy needs a makeover, and one that represents the Badass-ness of the female side of things. Surely Vault-Tec had to have at least one special release of the Pip-Boy, considering how heavy into consumerism and advertising the society had become. This mod portrays just that: a limited edition release of the Pip-Boy, which I have dubbed Pip-Girl - Limited Edition Pip-Boy. It is my first mod ever uploaded to Nexus. A mashup of 5 existing mods are used to create a female oriented custom wrist-mounted computer device, with some personalized sounds, female replacer for the Pip-Boy avatar (including HUD avatar when injured and some perk avatars), and a replacement for the brand engraving above the top of the screen. There is a crack on the surface of the screen, capturing its owner's violent death long ago, with a fingerprint, dust, and scratched/scuffed screen edges. The opening and closing sounds, as well as the sound for turning favorites on and off has been altered, for a personal touch. The sounds are purely for flavor and can be deleted if they are not to your liking. Everything needed for a Badass female overhaul of the Pip-Boy.

For the Pip-Boy to display the dual colors, this line must be added to fallout4custom.ini:

bPipBoyDisableFX=1

Also, to get the color for the HUD, add this line to Fallout4Prefs.ini:

iHUDColorR=18

iHUDColorG=255

iHUDColorB=21

This is the combination that I used for this mod. If you want a different color combination, you can try one of the different color presets from the mod Pip-Boy Dual Colors by thetag. The preset featured is the "Green Mutant" setting provided with that mod.

Some of the mods listed have full fomod installers that will provide patches to use if you have the DEF_UI Mod or the VIS-G Sorting Mod installed. Head to the original mod pages listed above to download the correct version that you need. This mod is made for a vanilla version without DEF_UI or VIS-G installed, meant for a quick and easy install.

Installation:

Manual - Place Data Folder in your Fallout 4 root directory.

Or use a mod manager like Nexus Mod Manager, Vortex, or Mod Organizer 2.

The sounds can be removed by deleting the folder
