There's this nifty mod Buildable Burning Campfires that adds some burning fireplaces and more campfires to Workshop Mode.
I'm having a blast with Fallout 2287 - Nuclear Winter, but I wanted to build a warming fireplace next to my bed.
You'll need both mods and then this patch.
Warming Range
Nuclear Winter has basically four different sizes of fires. I added all of these sources to the large fire (the second largest) so you can place one by your settlement bed or workshop and move around a little. The only larger size is the Diamond City heat source which is huge. If you think well, 'I'm indoors, this fireplace should warm more than a ten foot radius,' you can move it to the larger heat source.
You would just remove the BBCF* FormID from Winter_FireLarge and add it to Winter_FireVeryLarge.
