What does NPCs Use Items(NUI) do?

NUI allows NPCs to use items before and while they engage in combat.

They can heal themselves or use buff items.

How do items effect NPCs?

NPCs can now heal themselves more often than before. Some NPCs have the ability to use Stimpaks. But not all. With NUI you can set a chance on how many NPCs can use Stimpak in a fight.

Buff items like Buffout, Psycho, etc. will increase their stats, damage and health, depending on what they use and make them more tougher.

They can also use Jet. Jet is probably the most dangerous of all. Jet slows time for the player and specially Raiders, were really jealous about that. Now Raiders will have a great time using Jet against you. It will make them faster and greatly boost their action speed and turning them into a killing machine, that needs to be stopped!

Do NPCs carry the items they use?

No. NPCs do not carry around more items. To prevent a flood of items, the items they use, are hidden.

What items can they use?

Heal items

Buff items common

Psycho, Jet, Buffout, Mentats, Vodka

Buff items rare

Psychobuff, PsychoJet, Psychotats, XCell, MedX, BuffJet, Moonshine

Can I add more items?

Yes you can! NUI makes use of FormLists, where you can add your items from other mods or your own items, you have created. The NPCs will randomly select an item from the list.

Are Companions covered?

Companions already use items, which you give to them. This will only effect enemies.

What is Faction Mode?

This is a setting in MCM, which is disabled by default. Once enabled it restricts the use of chems by faction. By default only Gunners, Raiders and Triggermen will use chems like Jet, Psycho etc. More factions are also available.

Are you using Better Locational Damage?

First of all, thanks for using Better Locational Damage!

In a recent update, the functionality of NPCs Using Items from the BLDs version has been deactivated. The pr

⚠️ Cons

  • Requires RobCo Patcher, so you'll need to grab that dependency first.
