📋 About This Mod
Received a nice request for this mod. I wasn't sure which sounds were specifically for when the PC is out of action points and which are just heavy breathing while sprinting, but I decided to silence it all anyway.
So, this mod will remove all heavy breathing that the player does while sprinting and after they run out of AP while sprinting. It does not affect gameplay in any way, this is purely an audio mod.
To install, extract the file and place the Data folder in your Fallout4 installation. For me, that's located at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\
Also, edit your Fallout4.ini file found in \Documents\My Games\Fallout4\ Find sResourceDataDirsFinal and set it to: sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\, INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community favorite with 397 endorsements and 15k downloads
- Does exactly what it says—no more annoying huffing while sprinting
- Zero performance impact since it's just an audio tweak
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2015, so it may not be tested with the latest Skyrim versions
- Only affects the player character, not NPCs
- If you use other audio overhaul mods, there could be conflicts
For Skyrim players who hate the constant breathing sound when sprinting and want a cleaner audio experience. Perfect for immersion-focused playthroughs or anyone who finds the vanilla sound grating. Skip if you want more comprehensive audio changes—this only removes the player's breathing.
💡 Beginner Tips
- If you're using a mod manager like Vortex or MO2, just download and install—no extra steps needed.
- Since it's an audio mod, load order rarely matters, but placing it after other audio overhauls ensures it takes effect.
- Test by sprinting in-game; if you still hear breathing, check that the mod is enabled and not overwritten.
