📋 About This Mod
And we're back with another Base Object Swapper experiment. This time, we're swapping out Caps Stashes for Bottlecap mines.
This mod swaps 50% of the caps stashes in the world for bottlecap mines.
How to Use
Install it with any mod manager, make sure you've got Base Object Swapper installed.
Technical - for mod authors and anyone confused why this mod needs a plugin
You need an activator that replaces itself using a script, because you cannot directly swap the caps stash, which is an activator and has a REFR signature, for the bottlecap mine, which is actually a projectile and has a PGRE signature. You can't swap world placed items with different signatures, or at least I couldn't when trying to make this. So I made a copy of the caps stash, that when it loads in the world it places the mine with a script, and then disables and deletes itself.
Mine Swapper uses Base Object Swapper to randomly replace 50% of caps stashes with bottlecap mines in Fallout 4. A simple gameplay tweak for players wanting more traps and surprises. With 109 endorsements and 34,354 downloads, it's a niche but popular mod.
