📋 About This Mod
I use D. E. C. A. Y. - Better Ghouls with Zombie Walkers. This creates a lot more ghoul/zombies in the world. I don't want to use Zombie Walkers option to turn off all loot. I am also using Fallout 4 Loot Overhaul 2016 Edition in an attempt to make getting items and caps more challenging. The combination of D. E. C. A. Y. and Zombie Walkers with loot turned on however was just giving too much stuff for this environment.
This mod reduces the item for ghoul bodies by around 90%. Many will have nothing.
D. E. C. A. Y. is the only required mod. This may be useful in combination with another mod that adds a lot of ghouls to the world besides Zombie Walkers.
Less Loot D.E.C.A.Y. is a small patch mod that reduces loot from ghouls when using the D.E.C.A.Y. mod. It has 298 endorsements and was last updated in 2018, making it a niche but community-approved tweak for players who want less clutter from ghoul kills.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 298 endorsements, so it's got a solid track record.
- Does exactly what it says: cuts down on ghoul loot spam, which is a godsend if you're tired of picking through piles of junk.
- Tiny patch mod, so it's lightweight and won't mess with your load order much.
⚠️ Cons
- Only works if you're using D.E.C.A.Y., so it's useless if you don't have that mod installed.
- Last updated in 2018, so it might not be compatible with newer versions of D.E.C.A.Y. or the game itself.
- It's a niche tweak—if you actually like getting loot from ghouls, this isn't for you.
For Fallout 4 players who use the D.E.C.A.Y. mod and find that ghouls drop too much loot, making the game feel cluttered. If you're a loot hoarder who wants more stuff, skip this—it's purely a quality-of-life reduction.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have D.E.C.A.Y. installed and activated before adding this patch, otherwise it won't do anything.
- Place this mod after D.E.C.A.Y. in your load order to ensure the loot changes apply correctly.
- If you're using a mod manager, just download and activate—it's a simple esp file.
